#SIMS 2 CC FINDS MOD#
I strongly recommend getting Re-Enabled Diary Textures mod by otherwise the reference book cover doubles as a diary cover. My covers are somewhat more detailed than Slig’s or Nox’s so I used a larger texture size (512x512) than those, but the textures are still smaller than Remi’s so these shouldn’t strain the game memory unreasonable much. In the swatch above, the covers are from left to right: reference (aka skilling), mystery, romance, drama, sci-fi, cooking, and children’s. I wanted to swap my book defaults and… somehow ended up making my own versions? I’m pretty pleased how these turned to look like in-game, though, so I decided to share! The object is located in Misc/Misc in the buy catalog.

The download contains the mesh and the invisible recolor. You can even stick a nicer-looking deco fire hydrant on top of it/them, if you want. With the invisible recolor, you can have as many as you want. But you probably wouldn’t want five or more hydrants on a single lot. So, you can sort of tailor your traffic to your population density. Put more down, you’ll get still denser traffic. With six, as above, I had cars passing about once every two sim-minutes and sometimes got more than one car at once. With a single hydrant on the lot you’ll get one or two cars every sim-hour or so. So, you have a method of traffic control. And sometimes, you’ll get more than one car going by at the same time, like so with six hydrants on the lot: But mostly, invisible is better because the more of these you place on a lot, the more often cars will pass. That’s not how fire hydrants generally are. Why is invisible better? Well, for one, because you might not want to have a fire hydrant on every single lot, if you want passing traffic on every lot. So, I just made an invisible recolor of the object instead. I have no idea what I did wrong, but then I realized that invisible was better, anyway. So, I endeavored to replace the mesh with something newer but, as usual, failed. commented that the mesh/textures are kind of…well…2005.

(Yay finally done with this huge set :’) although I said I’ll make some roofs extensions but that’s work of a different kind.So yesterday, I posted about this fire hydrant object that randomly spawns passing cars on lots. The download also includes a collection file, but I made it in an all EPs all SPs setup so it probably won’t work for everyone.Īs usual, just message me if there’s any problem with them.

Therefor, you’ll need to have that in your game for the shutters to display properly. The fan itself is divided in two objects (fan part and lamp part) the fan part requires Mansions and Gardens.īoth pairs of shutters are texture-slaved to the ‘Colonial Window’ I have shared in this set. This set includes 2 lamps, 1 ceiling fan and 10 deco objects of various kinds (+ diagonals for the stuff that requires it.)Īll objects but the ceiling fan are base game compatible.
